The quad is fantastic for off-road adventure enthusiasts. Thanks to its four wheels and good traction, you can easily move even on rough and bumpy paths. Difficult terrains will no longer be a problem for your excursions. All that's left is to discover how to dress and what to bring for a perfect quad ride.

The quad offers an excursion full of discoveries and adventures. A quad with a good engine capacity, thanks to its thick 4 wheels, is safer than a motorcycle, but equally adventurous and exciting. Moreover, it is certainly more maneuverable than a car to move around and reach less accessible destinations. With the quad, fun and emotions are guaranteed. Let's delve into how to dress properly to fully enjoy the quad excursion.

Quad excursion, equipment

The right equipment during a quad outing is essential both for safety and comfort. In a quad, the keyword is adventure, but always in security. Wearing a helmet, gloves, and back protection are the basic rules for every quad rider.

To fully enjoy your quad excursion, the number one tip is to dress comfortably and sporty. Even jeans can be a good solution.

In particular, the following items cannot be missing:

  • helmet: it is ideal to use a full-face cross/enduro helmet, which ensures excellent protection. Jet helmets should be avoided as they do not offer face protection in case of a fall. Also, if the helmet is provided by the rental center, it would be preferable to bring your own balaclava;
  • motorcycle jacket, preferably water-repellent or waterproof, to protect you from branches, insects, and weather conditions. If the jacket also has integrated protections, such as elbow guards, shoulder guards, and back protector, it's perfect;
  • protective gloves for hands, which are very exposed;
  • shoes, tennis and trekking shoes can be good for short and easy hikes. In case of more challenging outings, it is preferable to wear boots in case of rain or mud. Even better if you opt for cross/enduro boots, which keep the lower part of the leg rigid, which is usually the first to touch the ground in case of a fall;
  • bandana to cover your mouth and nose, very useful on dusty trails;
  • eye protection mask, to be preferred over sunglasses and/or with clear lenses, which can become dangerous in case of a fall. Only in combination with a helmet without a visor, you can wear glasses to protect your eyes;
  • sports bra, which women cannot do without;
  • rain over-pants, to avoid getting pants muddy and wet.

To understand what are the appropriate clothes, it is important to also consider the season in which you will have fun with your quad bike. For example, if it gets very hot, you may not use the jacket. However, always remember to wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts with protective functions. Instead choose one Neck warmer or a small scarf for the cooler seasons.

Quad excursion, what to bring

In a real quad excursion you will encounter dirt, mud, dust and maybe even water. It is advisable to always bring with you:

  • water, at least 1 liter, to hydrate yourself properly;
  • a snack, which is always useful to have in your backpack;
  • a complete change of clothes, from underwear to shoes, just in case;
  • plastic bags, preferably with airtight closure, to set aside wet or dirty items;
  • a towel or moist wipes to freshen up a bit.

Now that you are dressed to the nines and have everything you need with you, you are 100% ready for your excursion. If you follow these tips, you will be comfortable, dry, and warm. Your quad excursion will go great.
